Please join us on for our 3rd annual Seed Librarians' Summit on Wed., Sept. 11th from 4-6pm at the National Heirloom Expo held in Santa Rosa, California at the Sonoma Fairgrounds. The summit is free, but it does cost $10 for entrance to the Expo, which is well worth attending and making a day of. We don't have a meeting room for the summit and will meet outside on the lawn - last year we met in the children's area and are tentatively set to do the same. Please check in with the SLOLA (Seed Library of Los Angeles) table as a change in venue may come up. We'll also put a note on the SLOLA table directing folks to the exact location.

1.  Introductions
2.  Ensuring seed quality
3.  Sharing resources, including creating a means to share it on-line (if you have resources that you've created, please bring a few copies so folks can see them)
4.  Increasing access to libraries
5.  Connecting with seed savers and seed saving organizations in our community

We'll post notes of the event here.
I finished a video on Tomatoes, Eggplants and Peppers. Feel free to link to it.

Last year's Heirloom Expo and the Seed Librarian's Summit initiated a major growth for the (San Luis Obispo) SLO Seed Exchange!! We've been meeting once a month in our newly "green" Grange Hall and discussing different topics each meeting. We haven't set a date for our annual Seed Exchange yet, but are collaborating with the Central Coast Bioneers to provide 2 events on Oct.26: a Seed Exchange table for attendees and a 1/2 hour Seed Lineage & Story seed give-away. Our mailing list is growing and we have a google group discussion website (+fb page). A physical seed library has not officially manifested, probably a good thing in a county dominated by Cal Poly corporate ag. Our "library" is individual seedsavers. Will you kindly share this email with the Seed Librarian's Summit and let everyone know that we could use some energetic visits from seedsavers outside this area? I'm unable to attend this year but we might have some representation there and maybe they will show up for the summit. This is our 7th year of existence! and
Best to all, Elizabeth
