Does anyone who gets their seed packets printed have a recommendation for a place to get them? In the past we've bought business envelopes, sealed them and cut them in half. I am a middle school…Continue

Please join us on for our 3rd annual Seed Librarians' Summit on Wed., Sept. 11th from 4-6pm at the National Heirloom Expo held in Santa Rosa, California at the Sonoma Fairgrounds. The summit is free, but it does cost $10 for entrance to the Expo, which is well worth attending and making a day of. We don't have a meeting room for the summit and will meet outside on the lawn - last year we met in the children's area and are…
ContinueWe are having our fist meeting tomorrow for Lynx Creek Seed Exchange! 10 AM at the Prescott Valley Public Library in Prescott Valley, AZ. More to come - - Bring GMO-free seeds to share, envelopes & pens.
Thanks for the welcome, Rebecca!
We are having our "Kickoff" event next Thursday, when people can start "checking out" seeds. I'm pretty sure we will be the first public library in Florida to attempt this, and, believe me, I'm sure there will be many wrinkles to iron out.
I am kind of a luddite, so this is my first step into this area of the internet and communication. I hope I am doing this correctly!
Love this site, thank you. Are there any specific plans for a little librarian get-together at the Santa Rosa Heirloom Expo in September? I'd really like to join that conversation if I can. Thanks!
Oh and for all you californian's who experience the great earth shaking now and again, think about packing some seeds in your emergency supplies. Just a thought :)
Howdy, U should get much notice very shortly...I just saw U on NBC nightly news TONIGHT! This is the coolest idea....kinda wish I had come up with it :) just not that ingenious tho ;)
I am emailing your story to myself to then print out and deliver with my speal for my local library why we need to start this in my area. I so would luv 2 support my library in this great idea.
Thank you so much for getting this idea out there and sharing your love for the people.
Rebecca, this site is so awesome! This is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!
I have one question for you or others...for a small local seed exchange (in a community that doesn't know much about seed saving), what minimum # of seeds would you suggest that people put in an envelope? Someone told me that 30 seeds is recommended for genetic diversity, but I think that's too many for our group. Any thoughts?
Thanks again!
Hey Rebecca!
I've figured out how to make the dropbox folder a public link, but I'll need your help to make it public since I've deleted my public folder. Then we'll be able to make a tab for it on this website :)
Best,
Dev
